I will put in the box
The smell of a daffodil on a springtime day
The feeling of my bedcover when it's just been washed
The sound of my Nan's laugh when she's joking

I will put in the box
The mud in the trenches in Belgium and France
A sprinkle of the warm water from Dragon River
And the warm colour of sunset

I will put in the box
The softness of my friend's dog when still
The really hot blaze of the sun from Mercury
The greenest grass on my Pre-school's field

I will put in the box
The smell of a new twenty pound note
The laughter of my family when Friends is on
And the taste of pancakes with jam on them

My Box is fashioned from ice wind and fire
With a golden tiara on the lid
Its hinges are the rocks from the Himalayas and Andes mountains

In my box I will ride on an elephant
in the rainforest of Kenya
with my Nan that has died
who had a big smile even when she cried
